An LLR or a Learner's License is an official document that authorizes the holder to learn driving vehicles in India. However, it is mandatory for an LLR holder to learn driving under the supervision of an expert driver who has a permanent driving license. A Learner’s license comes with a validity of six months. Individuals above the age of 16 years can apply for a Learner's License for driving motorcycles without gear. Applicants must be of at least 18 years of age to be able to drive light motor vehicles with gears. The validity of the Learner’s License is not extended beyond six months and the applicant must apply for their permanent driving license within the stipulated time frame.
The Rajasthan Motor Vehicle Department ensures smooth and steady traffic conditions in the state. The department is also in charge of issuing permits and licenses to applicants who clear the respective tests. Applicants may visit the official website of Rajasthan Motor Vehicle Department in order to download the forms and apply for the tests. Alternatively, they may visit the jurisdictional RTO (Regional Transport Office) to apply for the same.
