To transfer a vehicle to a different state, the applicant must follow the procedure and submit the mentioned set of documents. There are a lot of formalities that should be completed before the vehicle is driven on the roads of a different state.
After a vehicle has been transferred to a different state, the vehicle owner must visit the RTO in their area and re-register the vehicle in the state that he/she resides.
The necessary documents for the transfer of vehicle registration to a different state are:
The vehicle owner must provide the original RC.
Form 28 must be duly filled and you must acquire four copies of the form if the vehicle comes under the hire/purchase lease agreement. This form grants the vehicle owner to transfer the vehicle ownership to the present state of residence.
Form 27 must be submitted by the applicant too. This application is for the assignment of a new registration mark to the vehicle.
Form 20 is the application through which the owner can register the vehicle in a new state.
Address Proof of the vehicle owner.
Pollution under control certificate.
The charges levied under the road tax also must be paid.
Copy of PAN Card (If the applicant doesn't have a PAN Card he/she can submit Form 60/61).
