With the forthcoming Assembly Elections in UP, arrangements are in full swing to help the citizens to vote for their preferred candidate. Voting is the primary right of every Indian citizen and is the backbone of every democracy. Being the largest democracy in the world, Indian elections are a huge deal. To uphold the principles of democracy, Indian citizens must vote. Every Indian citizen above the age of eighteen can vote if they are mentally sound and are not financially bankrupt. Voter ID can be secured both through online as well as the offline medium. Citizens may apply for voter ID through the official website of CEO UP or by visiting the nearest electoral office. Once you obtain the voter ID application, you can fill and submit the relevant form along with requisite documents. After it has been verified, the applicant can receive their voter ID card within a few weeks. In addition to this, their voter ID card number will also be added to the list of voters. To vote in the forthcoming Uttar Pradesh (UP) Elections, voters must ensure that their name is in the Uttar Pradesh Election electoral roll.

Search Your Name in Uttar Pradesh Electoral Roll

You may search your name on the electoral roll in four different ways.

• By name

• By relation's name

• By house number

• By EPIC number

Voter List Uttar Pradesh 2017 - by Name

• Visit the official website of CEO Uttar Pradesh.

• Click on Elector Search on the homepage.

• You will be needed to fill in details in the boxes on the next page.

• The first box requires you to fill your Assembly Constituency.

• The second box asks you to know the Polling Station.

• The third box needs you to fill out the Search Criteria. In the drop-down menu, you can select Search By Name.

• In the fourth section, you are supposed to choose the language. You can choose between English and Hindi.

• In the fifth box, enter the text that you wish to search.

• Enter the Captcha provided on the page.

• Hit on Search to get the desired results.

By Relation Name

• Visit the official website of CEO Uttar Pradesh.

• Select Elector Search.

• Right click and open the page in a new tab.

• A new tab opens, and you will be navigated to a new page.

• There are many boxes in the page which are required to be filled with correct data.

• The first box requires you to fill your Assembly Constituency.

• The second box asks you to know the Polling Station.

• In the third section, you'll be required to select the Search Criteria. Select 'Search By Relation Name'.

• In the fourth box, you will be required to Select the Language. You may choose between English and Hindi.

By House Number

Steps to Check if Your Name is in the UP Voter List

• Applicants are required to visit the official website of the state election commission

• Select 'Election'.

• Select Voter List from the drop-down menu.

• Enter your EPIC Number, Name, Father's/Husband's Name. They can also search for the voter list by selecting the name.

• After you have filtered all the options, you can click on search to produce the results.

• The applicant will be able to view all the details linked to their voter ID, he/she will also be able to check whether their names are on the electoral roll or not.

Alternate Method to Search for UP Voter List Online

• Applicants can visit the official website of CEO, Uttar Pradesh.

• Click on 'Search Your Name in Electoral Roll' on the homepage.

• You will be redirected to a new page where you will be required to select the district and assembly constituency. Click on 'Show' after you have selected the district and assembly constituency.

• A list of all the polling stations will be shown on the screen and the list of people in the electoral roll can also be seen on the screen.

• Based on your polling booth, click on the electoral roll corresponding to your voter ID.

• The applicant can now download the electoral roll in PDF format.

• By following the steps described above an individual can easily find out his/her name on the electoral roll.

Ensure that you are enlisted in the Electoral Roll of the Assembly Constituency. The modification in the card can be made after that. The current address can be printed on the back of the card.
