However, that isn't the case if you are aware of the application process. The ECI has launched the online method to apply for voter ID. One of the questions that voter ID applicants tend to ask is - how to find the Part Number, and is it necessary to have a Part Number if you wish to apply for a voter ID?

How to Find Part Number in a Voter ID Card Online

• You will be required to visit the National Voters' Services Portal to find out your Part Number

• After visiting the website, you need to enter your EPIC number and click on continue

• Then, you will be required to enter your details like name, age, gender, state and your respective constituency

• After entering the information, click on Polling Station column

• Many profiles will pop-up with the same name, hence, it is necessary that you correctly enter all the personal details

• To search for your profile, enter your EPIC number in the space provided and click on continue

• Your profile pops up; you can click on the Polling Station after selecting your profile

• Now, you can enter the location of your polling station.

• Click on ‘See Your Election Officials’ and proceed to the next page

• You can now see the Election Officers' details on this page.

• At the end of the page, you will find the link - Click here for Electoral Roll.

• Choose this option and download the PDF.

• On the top right corner of the PDF file, you will find your Part Number
