How Can I Make Changes to the Details in Voter ID?

You can follow these steps to make changes to your voter ID card details:

• You must check the details of your voter ID details before you make any changes in the voter ID details.

• Visit the National Voters' Service Portal.

• Scroll down to the page that reads Correction of entries in the electoral roll.

• Click on Form 8.

Form 8 is meant for changing the particulars that are entered on the electoral roll. You must keep in mind the details that you had provided in your original voter ID application. Follow the steps described below to make corrections in your voter ID:

• Select your Parliamentary Constituency/State.

• Provide your details and ensure that you get all the spellings right.

• Enter the address as it is mentioned on the voter ID card.

• Enter your voter ID card number.

• Upload the scanned copy of your documents for verification.

• Select the detail that you need to correct:

  • Name

  • Age

  • Gender

  • Father's/Mother's Name

  • Address

  • Photograph & ID Number

• The applicant must ensure that the details provided by them are changed correctly.

• Enter the details that are needed to be changed correctly.

• Enter your email address and cell phone number.

• Upload the necessary documents and the proof of the detail that you wish to correct.

• Click on submit.

• You will receive a confirmation message.

• The changes will appear on the next voter ID that is released.
