History has proved that democracy is the healthiest form of government in the world. Equal opportunities and rights irrespective of state or caste and liberty to fundamental rights are some of the benefits of being in a democratic country. Citizens engaging in elections by casting their votes is the basis of modern democracy. Voting advocates the right of the citizens to choose their representative. The Election Commission of India conducts elections at the local, state and national level. Due to the large size of the country, it is difficult to hold elections. Political parties and imposters take advantage of this and dampen the spirit of democracy. As a counter to this problem, the Government issues voter ID card to people which acts as an identification proof of an elector. UP is one of the largest states in the country. It has 403 Assembly constituencies and 80 Lok Sabha Constituencies and it conducts the elections in every five years. Due to the services provided by the National Voter's Services Portal, the citizens of UP can apply for voter ID without any hassles.
