We get to hear many views and opinions about the ruling government during elections. However, the voter turnout shows that many people don't even participate in the polls since they either think getting a voter ID card is a hassle or that voting doesn't make any difference. Getting to one of the primary reasons why people end up not voting is because they are not entirely aware of the documents that are required to be submitted while applying for a voter ID.
Voter ID card, also known as the Voter Registration Card or Election Card is issued to all the eligible citizens of the Election Commission of India. Voter ID acts as a proof of the citizenship of an individual and it helps them in casting their vote. The photo ID card helps in improving the accuracy of the voters' list and also to prevent any cases of fraud.
