It's vital to pay credit card bills on time to maintain a good credit score and save yourself from paying a hefty amount of penalty. Due to this reason, IndusInd Bank has come up with several payment modes to make the process quick. Even if you don't have an account with IndusInd Bank, there are avenues through which you can clear your outstanding balances.
Net Banking
Here are the steps to follow:
Visit www.indusind.com.
Enter your user ID and password to sign in to the net banking account.
Click on 'Funds Transfer' and add a beneficiary.
Write the credit card number in the beneficiary account field.
Choose the IndusInd bank account from which you want to transfer funds.
Mention the amount of transaction.
Confirm the date of transaction.
Approve the transaction and enter the OTP or security password for validation.
BillDesk
BillDesk is another mode that you can use to clear bill payments. Following are the steps:
Enter the IndusInd bank credit card number and the bill amount.
Choose the bank account from which you want to transfer funds. Please note that IndusInd Bank collaborates only with few banks.
Now you will be redirected to the payment page of your selected bank.
Enter the user ID and password of your bank account.
Approve the amount of transaction.
The required amount will be debited from your account instantly, and you will be redirected to the payment acknowledgment screen. If the transaction has failed, then you will have to make a payment again.
The amount will revert within three working days in your IndusInd credit card account excluding weekends or bank holidays.
Visa Money Transfer (VMT)
Through VMT, you can transfer funds from other bank accounts and pay the bill.
NEFT / IMPS / RTGS Facility
To initiate NEFT/IMPS/RTGS transactions, add your IndusInd bank credit card as a beneficiary.
Once you have added the beneficiary, you can go ahead and start an NEFT/IMPS/RTGS transaction in the following ways:
Log in to your internet banking portal and click on 'Funds Transfer.'
Choose your IndusInd Bank credit card.
Make your credit card payment at least two days before the due date.
There are various ways to pay your card bill offline:
Atm Funds Transfer
Go to the nearest ATM and enter the details of your PIN.
Select the 'VISA credit card bill payment' link.
Choose the IndusInd Bank account from which the funds will be debited.
Enter the credit card number in the beneficiary details.
Confirm the transaction.
NACH Facility
NACH, or National Automated Clearing House, is a facility that allows you to transfer funds electronically from your bank account to credit card account. Here are the steps to follow:
Download the NACH form from the official website of IndusInd Bank.
Fill out the form with the necessary details and send it to the bank via email. Mailing this form indicates that you're authorizing the bank to debit funds from your savings account towards your credit card bill payment.
To ensure that the credit card bill is paid on time, clear the dues at least three days before the due date.
Auto Debit facility
Keeping a tab on the payment due date is perplexing. That's why IndusInd bank provides the auto debit facility. Here are the steps to follow:
Download the auto debit form from the official website of IndusInd bank.
This form authorizes the bank to debit a predetermined amount towards your credit card bill payment.
Please ensure that the account you select is either an individual account or a joint account with a signing mandate.
SWIFT Transfer
IndusInd Bank is a part of the SWIFT (Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunication) and is associated with more than 250 world's top banks. Here are the steps that you can follow:
Visit the local bank branch and ask them to credit your card bill with funds from your respective bank account. Don't forget to mention the currency in which you want to send the amount.
The process of SWIFT transfer may take 24-48 hours since the time you have sent the request. Please note that your local bank may levy a fee for a wire transfer.
Cheque / Draft Drop Boxes
Address your cheque or draft towards your IndusInd bank credit card number.
Behind the cheque or draft, write down your name and mobile number.
Now you can drop the cheque/draft at any of the IndusInd ATMs. Don't deposit post-dated cheques and try to submit them four days before the due date.
Cash
You can also make a credit card bill payment by depositing money at any of the IndusInd Bank branches. Mention your sixteen-digit credit card number on the deposit slip and pay a fee of Rs.100.
If a wrong credit card number has been entered, what should a customer do?
The credit card number should be entered twice for security purpose. If it is still entered incorrectly, then the customer should call the customer care.
How can offline payments be made?
It can be paid by cash or cheque either at the nearest ATM or nearest bank branch.
How can credit card bill payment be made through mobile?
For paying credit card bill through your mobile, you have to download the bank's app, go to the credit card section and initiate the bill payment.
What happens if I don't pay my credit card bills on time?
You will be charged a late payment fee by the bank depending on your outstanding balance.
