For faster withdrawal and transfer of provident fund, you must link your Aadhaar to your EPF account. To link your Aadhaar with the PF account, you must follow the steps mentioned below:
Visit https://unifiedportal.epfindia.gov.in/, the Unified Portal of Employees’ Provident Fund.
Click on ‘For employees’, and then ‘UAN Member e-Sewa.’
Log in using your UAN and password.
Select ‘Manage’ on the top panel and then click on ‘KYC.’
Go to the next page, locate ‘Add KYC’ tab and click on it, provide your bank, PAN, Aadhaar, driving license, passport, election card, and ration card details,
Click on ‘submit'.
Now, you can find all the details under ‘Pending KYC’ tab. It will be under the ‘Approved KYC’ tab once it is approved by the employer (generally takes 15 days).
For the convenience of those employees who are not comfortable linking the Aadhaar with PF online, EPFO has provided this facility offline. You can fill in the Aadhaar Linking Application with the required information such as UAN, Aadhaar number, etc.
After the form is filled, you must attach the self-attested photocopies of UAN, PAN, and Aadhaar, along with this form. All the documents mentioned above must be submitted at the field office of Common Services Centres (CSC) or EPFO. After the verification, you will receive a message on your registered mobile number stating that the Aadhaar number has now been linked to the EPF account.
What is the Universal Account Number (UAN)?
UAN is a unique 12-digit number that is allotted to an employee. It doesn't change with the employment and helps in the automatic transfer of funds and PF withdrawals.
