Debit card PIN or ATM PIN (Personal Identification Number) keeps account holders secure through unauthenticated transactions as all withdrawals, online and POS transactions are done only after entering the unique four digits SBI PIN. SBI offers Green PIN facility to all the customers to make it simpler for them to generate an ATM PIN or change the existing PIN. So, before using your SBI debit card, you must know how to generate an ATM PIN.
The SBI ATM PIN generation process is hassle-free and can be done in a few minutes at your own convenience. You can opt for any of the methods mentioned below:
ATM
SMS
Customer care
SBI net banking.
Let us go through these different processes in detail.
Follow the steps mentioned below to generate the SBI ATM PIN:
Locate the nearest SBI ATM to generate SBI ATM PIN.
Insert your card and select the PIN generation option.
Enter the 11 digit SBI account number linked with the ATM card.
Enter the mobile number that is registered with the bank and press ‘Confirm.’
A message pops up appreciating the account holder for being a part of the green initiative.
It will display a confirmation message after the PIN is generated successfully.
You will receive an OTP on your registered mobile number, which is valid for 2 days.
Visit any SBI ATM, and select Banking > PIN change > enter the OTP, and then follow the steps to change the ATM PIN.
You can send an SMS to 567676 using the format PIN <last four digits of ATM card> <last four digits of the account number>
After sending the SMS, you will receive an OTP, which will be valid for two days.
Enter the OTP in the nearest ATM and generate the PIN.
Call the SBI customer care on 1800112211 or 18004253800 or 080-26599990 using your registered mobile number
Select your preferred language.
Press '2' to select ATM and prepaid card option.
Then, press '1' for SBI ATM PIN Generation.
Enter your ATM/debit card number and press '1' in order to confirm.
Enter your 11 digit SBI Account Number and press '1' to confirm the account number.
Now, you will receive an OTP on the registered mobile number, which will be valid for two days.
Visit any nearby ATM within the stipulated time. Insert the card, select Banking > PIN change > enter the OTP, and follow the steps to generate your ATM PIN.
Make sure that your mobile number for the corresponding account number is updated as you will be receiving the OTP.
Simply log in to your internet banking account.
Select SBI ATM PIN generate option.
You will receive an OTP on your registered mobile number.
Enter the OTP and follow the steps to generate the ATM PIN.
