Are you an SBI bank account holder who is yet to register for internet banking? Are you not doing it because you feel that the registration process is tiresome? If so, you are mistaken. SBI internet banking registration is quite simple. Apart from the traditional way of going to a branch and applying for it, there is also an online method that would be convenient for you. By registering, you can enjoy the many perks of internet banking such as instant bill payment and fund transfer, easy access to account statements, direct ATM card blocking, etc. We are here to discuss the different methods to register for SBI internet banking.
Visit the SBI website.
Click on ‘New User Registration/Activation’ under ‘Personal Banking.’
A pop-up will appear on the screen. Click on ‘OK.’
A new tab will open that shows ‘New User Registration.’ Click on ‘Next.’
Enter the required details, such as your account number, CIF number, branch code, country, mobile number, and captcha; and click on ‘Submit.’
An OTP will be sent to your registered mobile number.
Enter the OTP and click on ‘Confirm.’
Select the ‘I have my ATM card’ option and click on ‘Submit.’
Now, enter the ATM card number, validity, name, ATM PIN, and captcha; and click on ‘Proceed.’
You will receive a temporary user ID. Make note of it, and enter the new password and confirm the same.
You have successfully completed the registration for internet banking.
If you want to change your user ID for your convenience, then follow the steps mentioned below:
Log in with your temporary username and the password.
Now, create a username of your choice.
Accept the terms and conditions and set the login password and profile password.
Select the hint questions and provide answers for the same.
Enter your date of birth, country, and registered mobile number and click on ‘Submit.’
Your user ID will be changed.
Visit your SBI Home branch.
Acquire the net-banking form, or you can download it from here.
Fill in the required details, such as name, mobile number, email ID, date of birth, account number, and date.
Sign the form at the bottom-left, above ‘customer signature.’
Submit the form at the branch.
The branch officer will guide you through the process.
