LPG cylinder is essential to the Indian way of life since cooking is an integral part of Indian households. However, there are still families in villages and rural areas who don't have access to this cooking fuel and they end up putting their lives and the environment in danger. To discourage the use of firewood and coal for cooking purposes, the government has introduced subsidy so that more people take the LPG gas connection.
The scheme Pratyaksh Hanstantrit Labh in which the LPG subsidy amount is directly credited to the bank account is beneficial for individuals who are eligible for LPG subsidy. Beneficiaries must ensure that their Aadhar Card is linked to their bank account which can be done quickly through online or offline mode. The offline mode requires the individual to approach the bank and file the relevant forms to complete the linking process. You can do the same through online mode through internet banking.
