Since the time the present government has come into power, a large number of schemes have been put forward to benefit people who can't afford necessities to live a healthy life. The recent schemes are focused on the improvement of the poor and needy. Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana Scheme is one such scheme which is meant to benefit people and their families who are below the poverty line when it comes to the family income. This article talks about this scheme in detail.
This scheme aims to provide clean cooking fuel to the women who are below poverty line and generally use firewood or coal as a cooking fuel.
Through this Ujjwala Yojana scheme, the government hopes to provide Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) connection to over five crore women who are part of families that are below poverty line.
