World Disabled Day: World Disabled Day is internationally celebrated in order to promote awareness about physically challenged people and sensitize the issue. Tripura takes an active initiative at this cause. Various competitions are organized to encourage the talent and skills of disabled people.
Feast of St Francis Xavier: This is a famous Christian festival celebrated in Goa. It is celebrated every year from 21st November to 2nd January and attracts lakhs of devotees from all over the nation. The body of the deceased saint is kept at Bom Jesus Basilica in Goa.
Goa Liberation Day: Goa Liberation Day is an important and historical celebration in Goa. It marks the day when Goa got its independence from the exploitative Portuguese dominance. The day is celebrated with a lot of fanfare including processions and cultural programs.
Christmas Day: The biggest festival of Christians, Christmas marks the birth anniversary of Jesus Christ and is celebrated with Christmas trees, Church mass, carols, hymns, and gifts. It's a party time when even people from other religions participate in the festivities. Some states also observe a holiday on the day after Christmas, i.e., Boxing day.
