The customers of Indian Bank can open the RD account for a short period. A short-term RD account with Indian Bank can be opened for 6 months-2 years and the interest rate offered on these deposits range from 5.75%-6.25% per annum. For deposits worth 1-5 crores, the interest rate applicable ranges from 5.25%-5.75% per annum.
Indian Bank customer also have an option of opening medium and long-term deposit accounts. The medium-term RD account has a tenure of 2-3 years and a long-term deposit account has a tenure exceeding three years.
For a deposit amounting to less than a cure, the bank offers an interest rate of 6.25% per annum and for deposits worth 1-5 crores, the bank offers an interest rate of 5.5% per annum.
Senior citizen customers are also provided with attractive interest rates when they invest money through the Indian Bank RD account. In case of senior citizens, an additional interest rate is applicable on the nominal RD rates
NRIs can also open an RD account with Indian Bank for a tenure ranging from 1-10 years. The interest rate applicable on such deposits is 6.5%-7.25% per annum. On short-term deposits amounting from 1-5 crores, NRIs can earn up to 7% interest rate per annum.
For a medium-term deposit amounting to less than a crore, an NRI can earn an interest rate of 7.25% and on medium and long-term deposits amounting to 1-5 crores, they will be able to earn an interest rate of 7% per annum.
