The Central Bank of India offers three major recurring schemes at desirable interest rates. The schemes provided are Cent Millionaire, Cent Lakhpati and Cent Swa-Shakti flexi RDS. Even NRIs can open an RD account at interest rates ranging from 7.5%-7.25%, depending o the scheme selected and the deposit term. The deposit terms can vary from 6 months to 10 years. Account holders can make the payment towards their RD accounts through net banking, cash, cheques or ECS.
Central Bank of India - Short Term Recurring Deposit Interest Rates
Customers can also choose the Cent lakhpati scheme that offers a tenure of 1-2 years which provides an interest rate of 7.5%. The Cent Millionaire Scheme doesn't have any short-term tenure options and for the Swa-Shakti Flexi RDS Plan, the tenures vary from 6 months to 2 years. The interest rate applicable to the tenure of 2 months is 7.25% and for the tenure of 9 months as well, the interest rate applicable is 7.25%. The Cent Swa-Shakti Flexi RD accounts for tenures 1-2 years provides an interest rate of 7.5%
Central Bank of India - Medium and Long-Term Recurring Deposit Interest Rates
Cent Lakhpati Recurring Deposit scheme offers medium and long-term scheme offers an interest rate of 7.25% for a tenure of 3-10 years. For a long-term deposit term of 10 years, the Cent Lakhpati scheme provides an interest rate of 7.25%. The Cent Shakti Flexi RD Scheme offers an interest rate of 7.25% for tenures ranging from 3-10 years.
Central Bank of India - Senior Citizen Recurring Deposit Interest Rates
Special interest rates are provided to the senior citizens from the Central Bank of India under the Cent lakhpati deposit scheme. The Cent Swa-Shakti scheme provides an additional interest rate of 0.5% to the senior citizens. Under this scheme, the senior citizens can avail an interest rate of 7.75% on tenures varying from 6-9 months. An interest rate of 7.75% is applicable on tenures of 3,4,5 and 10 years and an interest rate of 8% is applicable for a tenure of 1-2 years
