As part of the 'Go Green' initiative, Canara Bank has launched the 'Green PIN' through which customers can now generate their debit card PIN at any Canara Bank ATM across the country. Besides, customers can also create a debit card Green PIN through their online banking and mobile banking accounts as well as through the Interactive Voice Response (IVR) by calling on the toll-free customer care number of Canara Bank.
Canara Bank customers can activate their Green PIN at a nearby Canara Bank ATM in the following ways:
Visit any Canara Bank ATM.
Insert your debit card
Once you have swiped your debit card, select the language of your choice.
In the next step, choose the 'Generate Green PIN/Forgot PIN' option among other options that are displayed on the screen.
Enter your Canara Bank account number and confirm it by choosing 'correct.'
Now enter your registered mobile number.
You will receive an OTP on your registered mobile number from the bank.
Select 'Validate OTP' and enter the details.
After the validation of OTP, you will be able to create a 4-digit PIN.
Re-enter the PIN and select 'confirm the PIN.'
Now, your debit card Green PIN will be activated.
The Canara Bank customers can also create ATM or debit card PIN through the Interactive Voice Response (IVR) service while sitting at their homes. Following are the steps to follow:
Call on the toll-free number of Canara Bank - 1800 425 0018
Choose your preferred language by clicking on the required option as instructed.
Click on the option that indicates 'debit card related queries.'
Next, select 'ATM PIN' options.
Now enter your Canara Bank account number and press the instructed number to confirm it.
Enter your sixteen-digit Canara Bank debit card number.
Enter your birth date in the DDMMYY format for verification purpose.
Enter the four-digit ATM PIN and the date of expiry of your debit card.
Re-enter your PIN to confirm.
Your Canara Bank Green PIN will be activated.
You will also receive a message from Canara Bank stating that your PIN has been created.
